About me

fullsizeoutput_e50.jpeg

Kathryn graduated from the Royal College of Art in 1999, where she studied under the tuition of Peter Doig.

It was there that she refined her skills and expertise in fine art painting and deepened her passion for expressing landscape through a creative lens. Her work blends the precision and craft of the photorealist tradition with a painters sensitivity to light, space and atmosphere.

Colour and form are central to her practice- in each painting she seeks to heighten the ordinary; to render colour and tone not just as a pigment but as an experience toward the sublime while her treatment of form in landscape, is not just a structure but the "qualitative potential" of nature.
